About Outlier Press:
Outlier Press is a publisher, producer, and purveyor of specialty chapbooks. Traditionally slim and inexpensive, the chapbook is a literary vehicle for short stories, poetry, and popular literature, a vehicle which dates from the sixteenth century.
At Outlier Press, we endeavour to remain faithful to the tradition of early chapbooks by keeping our prices low and our spirits high.
As a micro-specialty house, we are proud to exist soley to make available to an unsuspecting world the obscure oeuvre of the reclusive and eccentric C.C. Thistlethwaite, our resident writer, who since 1999 has gained a cult following at the online magazine New Improved Head, and whose books were, until recently, being produced here by popular demand.
Mr. Thistlethwaite is presently hard at work, he tells us, producing a long-awaited revised and expanded edition of his only title, Metaphysicians and Roofers, and until he is finished, this website exists in a state of semi-dormancy. Actually, we're enjoying the break!
Outlier Press is committed to being small. Our product is unusual and collectible. Our perspective is a little off-centre – one step out on the asymptote. We will never be mainstream. What we will do, instead, is bring you interesting little books at a good price, for your pleasure and for ours.
Thanks for visiting.
